Training with Proven Principals:
We approach Horse Development from a relationship perspective... that means it has to accommodate both the horse and the human. We know that the human'sthoughts and emotions impact their horse. Horses communicate using body language and this is the language that we need to learn. We need to be congruent and communicate effectively. We need to be able to think like a horse and this makes significant demands on the human in the relationship and why emotional fitness is key!
Horse development services are tailored to meet your needs and are specific to your relationship with your horse. Rates and packages are combined with different services designed to support you and your horses' overall success and may include but are not limited to:
* All new clients and their horses are interviewed and assessed before any work begins *

Natural Barefoot Trimming
Committed to helping your horse move in balance - one foot at a time.
We approach Barefoot Trimming from a similar place as our other equine services. When trimming a horse we use all of out horse handling expertise and aspire to have a conversation with the horse. Our trimming rates take into consideration the level of difficulty and effort required to work with your horse.
We spent a week in Lindsay Ontario learning from Equine Hoofcare Specialist Kate Romanenko. It was a great opportunity to deepen our barefoot trimming knowledge and further develop our skills under the personal guidance of such a knowledgable natural barefoot trimmer.
What Kate has to say:
"In August 2021 Kailaan and Lydia attended my 5 day hoof trimming course. I feel they truly understand hoof functions and can apply their trimming skills to help horses feel comfortable and healthy. I was equally impressed with their horsemanship skills. They were able to handle scared, bored , nervous and naughty horses safely and quietly without incidents. If you need hoof help, I would highly recommend either of them." @katebarefoothoofcare
Client Testimonial:
" We had a very interesting as well as extremely informative morning today. Our farrier is no longer able to take care of our horses so we had to find someone to take over. A friend of mine suggested we try Kailaan, and boy oh boy am I happy I did!! Kailaan and his lovely wife Lydia (who is also a trimmer) arrived on time and after a brief introduction to the barn crew, got to work. The horses were very at ease and at one point Lydia handled Artie to give me a break. I was impressed with how easily they read each horses body language and made the process comfortable for all participants. If you are looking to replace your farrier, I highly recommend them. Oh, and did I mention, they're both trainers which probably explains their picking up on the body language of each horse and keeping things calm and fluid. Sorry for the novel, buy they made a real impression on us and I wanted to share it. " Tracey and John
