Comments from Participants and Auditors:You're an awesome instructor. I almost broke out in singing the song from Rawhide ~ Kristine Coad Kailaan Walker helped a group of riders work through socializing their horses to cattle and finished the day by moving a heard of cows and calves around the field and finally grouping them up in the middle of the field. A lot of work was done on the ground before we got into the saddle. We learned a lot about moving cattle. The riders did a great job - we had a good teacher. Just a great way to spend a Saturday! Had a great opportunity to go watch some horses being introduced to cows for the first time at Marg and Keith's. It was so wonderful being back on a farm I have great memories of as a kid! Also fantastic watching the process of getting the horses to move cattle….there were so many different breeds, and they all did great! Kailaan Walker did an awesome job, and big thanks to Marg for inviting us out to watch!! It was the perfect way to spend a gorgeous Saturday afternoon! |
Special Note:Today, July 12 2014, on the one year anniversary of my best friend Tim Fortune 's passing, I was out doing some of the things he loved best, riding horses, helping people, and following cattle. |
